In a special edition of the Sole Motive Run Club in partnership with Runner’s World magazine, we celebrated the release of our new issue featuring cover star Harry Styles.

Melbourne runners gathered bright and early on Wednesday, 13 May for a special edition of the Sole Motive Run Club: Harry Styles: A Cover Worth Running For.
To celebrate the release of the May/June issue of Runner’s World Australia and New Zealand, featuring global pop sensation Harry Styles on the cover, we teamed up with Sole Motive, Laurent Bakery and PURE Sports Nutrition to deliver a memorable morning event.
VIP guest Harry Styles made an appearance in cardboard form, with runners lining up to snap photos alongside the cut-out, while an oversized version of the cover filled the window display, complete with Harry’s favourite running products.

Inside the magazine, Styles is interviewed by iconic Japanese author Haruki Murakami, whose book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running inspired the pop star to begin his running journey.

Now two marathons in, Styles has shaved almost 25 minutes off the PB he first set at the Tokyo Marathon. In Berlin, he broke the three-hour mark with an impressive 2:59:13 finish.
When asked about his ideal run fuel, Styles said his preference is “the biggest croissant I can find.” To complete the experience, Laurent Bakery supplied flaky, golden croissants for runners to enjoy after their 5–6km loop around the city.

With fruit electrolyte hydration from PURE and “Watermelon Sugar” playing through the speakers, the atmosphere was high-energy and smiles.

Runners had the opportunity to customise T-shirts with Harry-inspired heat-transfer designs, including “Adore Your Pace”, “Runner’s High” and cherries in running shoes.

Each runner also took home a fresh-off-the-press copy of the May/June issue featuring Harry Styles on the cover.
