Puma just unveiled it’s new rule breaking super shoe and you can get your hands on a pair.

What happens when you ignore all rules and make the most radical, performance-enhancing super shoe possible? Enter, the Puma Fast RB (‘rule breaking’) Nitro Elite.
Designed to cater specifically to the needs of high-speed runners, the shoe almost makes the Adidas Pro Evo 1 look like child’s play. The difference, however, is that this speedster isn’t race legal. In fact, the 58mm (!) midsole is a whopping 18mm above World Athletics’ regulations. And with no less than three carbon plates, it’s designed to be bold and unapologetically fast.
‘Our elite race day running shoes are often confided to work within the rules,’ says Romain Girard, head of innovation design at Puma. ‘But with Fast RB Nitro Elite, we asked the question: What if we pushed running technology as far as we can?
‘This is not just a running shoe; it’s a statement. Proof of our intent to not only be the fastest brand in the world, but the most innovative.’
The layered midsole (with a stack height of 58mm in the heel and 46mm in the forefoot) consists of layers of the brand’s Nitro Elite foam, promising maximum cushioning and energy return. Locked between the layers of foam are three carbon plates, with a raised, textured heel seemingly defying gravity.
Up top, a unique, laceless mesh upper is reinforced with Puma’s PWRTAPE for a secure, locked-in fit, while the outsole features the brand’s PUMAGRIP technology for multi-surface traction.
If you want to try this rule-breaking shoe for yourself, the Puma Fast RB Nitro Elite will be available in two colourways from August 28, for $350. However, only 1,000 pairs of the shoe will be available worldwide – so be quick!
