In Paris, Faith Kipyegon further cemented her legacy as the most decorated woman middle-distance runner of all time, breaking her own world record with a blistering 4:06.42 mile. With support from Nike, her partner of 16 years, Faith once again redefined the limits of human performance.
“It was tough, but I am so proud of what I’ve done, and I’m going to keep on trying, dreaming and pursuing big goals,” Faith said.
“I want to show the world, and especially women, that you have to dare to try.”
Her historic performance was made possible by months of collaboration with Nike’s sport science, design, and innovation teams. From a futuristic Nike Fly Suit and FlyWeb Bra to a custom-built Victory Elite spike, every detail was engineered for speed.
“Faith didn’t just make history, she proved the future of sport is faster, stronger and more inclusive than ever,” said Nike President Amy Montagne.
Together, Faith and Nike are showing the world what’s possible when athletes dare to dream audaciously.
